Established in 2012, The Dalton School is an enriched, dual-language, co-ed elementary school in Toronto for children in JK-Grade 8, where all core academic subjects are taught in both English and Mandarin by native speaking teachers.
Our two carefully chosen charities, Moorelands and World Wild Life Fund Canada, provide our students with an opportunity to give back. They are charities that young children can relate to and be actively involved in.
Moorelands Community Services is a children’s charity that works with more than 1,200 children and youth living in low-income Toronto neighbourhoods. Dalton students actively participate by shopping for gifts for families in need at Christmas time. Our students raise money and go out to neighbourhood stores to choose toys, games, mitts and hats for our Moorelands families.
WWF-Canada is the country’s largest international conservation organization whose mission is to reverse the decline of wildlife. Every year Dalton students raise money for their “Animal of the Year’ by scootering all day in a relay. Every child participates and it is touching to watch students support and cheer for one another. By the end of the day popsicles are very appreciated! We have raised money for the Giant Panda, the Asian Elephant, the Dugong and Leatherback Sea Turtle.
The Dalton School wishes to thank all of our generous donors.
